Senior Companionship
SMS-based AI companionship for isolated older adults without a smartphone — the same rail as the farm advisory, pointed at a completely different population.
Stage: open-source reference implementation. This is a published, MIT-licensed gateway. It has no deployed users — no real seniors are on it today. We built it to prove the rail generalises, and we're seeking a US partner (an Area Agency on Aging or senior centre) to take it live. We won't call it live until it is.

This gateway is a direct architectural branch of the AgroFutures rail. The same design that carries a crop advisory in Dholuo to a farmer in Murang'a carries a warm, context-aware check-in to an isolated older adult in the US who has a phone and knows how to text — but no smartphone.
That's the whole point of building it: proof that the underlying rail generalises across unrelated populations and continents, not just crops. It targets the roughly 30 million US adults over 65 who don't own a smartphone, and is built for organisations running on shared hosting, not enterprise budgets.
Context: the US senior-isolation figures and the 95% loneliness-reduction result cited on the homepage come from New York State's separate ElliQ robot-companion pilot — they describe the size of the problem, not any GrafikInc. outcome.
